For optimal bonding performance, follow these steps: 1. Clean threaded surfaces thoroughly with a solvent (e.g., trichloroethane, methyl ethyl ketone) to remove oil, grease, and debris-avoid hydrocarbon solvents that leave residues. Lightly abrade surfaces for enhanced adhesion. 2. Apply 2-4 drops of Thread Locker 271 to the male threads (or spread evenly on female threads) of the fastener, focusing on the engagement area. 3. Assemble components and tighten to the recommended torque immediately. 4. Allow 24 hours for full curing; use accelerators (e.g., 7649/7471) for faster cure on inert metals (aluminum, stainless steel) or in low-temperature environments.
Disassembly: Requires localized heating to 230-260℃ (446-500℉) to break the bond, followed by mechanical loosening with a wrench. Avoid reusing fasteners after disassembly for critical applications.


Avoid contact with skin and eyes-wear protective gloves and goggles. Do not use on plastic components, as it may cause swelling or cracking. Do not return spilled glue to the original container to prevent contamination.
